The Teen Summit Scholarship Program awards scholarships to talented, highly motivated, high school students who show academic determination.  It encompasses community service and teaches leadership skills to awardees who demonstrate financial need and social commitment.  The Teen Summit Scholarship Program is sponsored and funded by the Black United Funds of Texas, a private philanthropic foundation which has historically provided educational opportunities through a variety of scholarship programs.

Adopt-A-Senior Program has helped many graduating students with their expenses. This program has various categories Achievement awards available for seniors.  Each category of questions and responses are reviewed by our board of directors mostly comprised of counselors and teachers.  The graduating seniors are chosen by GPA, community service, academic prowess, sportsmanship, talents and essays.  Our sponsors are given a list of items that is needed by each senior and they sponsor funds to support these needs.  This program has been a success and we endeavor to continue because of the accelerating needs of graduation expenses.  Last(4) years our spokesperson was Deputy Mayor Don Hill, he has joined forces with our organization and has been extremely supportive if all our efforts concerning the youth.  At our 2nd Annual Texas Teen Summit & Kids N the Know Entrepreneur Conference, DISD Treasure Ron Price awarded four students with computers.
